CCVI hosts seventh annual Science Olympics

GUELPH, Ontario – On February 16, Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute hosted the seventh annual Science Olympics.

Centennial CVI has been running the Science Olympics for seven years and this year six Guelph-based schools were in attendance. Schools represented at the event were Centennial CVI, Guelph CVI, John F. Ross CVI and from the Wellington Catholic DSB, Bishop Macdonell CHS, St. James CHS and Our Lady of Lourdes CHS.

There were five elements to the competition: Chemistry Scrabble, Science Trivia, Computer Programming Challenge, Math Challenge and Engineering Design.

Centennial CVI won the Engineering, Chemistry and Math challenges. Bishop Macdonell won the Computer challenge and St. James CHS won the Science Trivia challenge.
