CDDHS visit seniors’ residence to build bird feeders
November 20, 2018
SHELBURNE, Ontario – On November 16, grade 9 construction students and staff from Centre Dufferin District High School spent the afternoon with residents of the Dufferin Oaks Long Term Care Facility to work on a project.
Students worked on bird feeder building kits in class and then took them to Dufferin Oaks to work with residents to assemble, sand and paint the bird feeders.
This opportunity was important to students, staff and residents of Dufferin Oaks because it gives students the chance to be involved in the community and allowed the older residents to interact with high school students.
