Doctors, firefighters and more walk the halls of James McQueen PS on Dress As Your Hero day

March 24, 2017

FERGUS, Ontario – Inspiration filled the halls of James McQueen Public School on Friday as the whole school took part in Dress As Your Hero day.

All 320 students and staff participated in the day – coming to school decked out as someone they look up to. Classrooms were filled with doctors, scientists, firefighters, educators, superheroes, and a suffragette.

The purpose of the day was to celebrate and discuss people that are important in students’ and staff’s lives and why they make the world a better place to live in.

The school also discussed what they can learn from these people, and how to grow to be like them in each person’s own way.
