Grade 12 students at GCVI to host final exhibition of original art pieces

May 23, 2018

GUELPH, Ontario – Graduating students in the grade 12 visual arts class at Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute will be hosting their final exhibition at 10 Carden (42 Carden St., Guelph) this June.

The opening of the exhibit will feature a reception on June 1 between 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Students have been busy this semester working toward the exhibition. They have worked collaboratively as a team in the classroom and have had direct roles in the responsibility for creating artworks, as well as installing and curating the art show.

As part of the project, each student investigated a personal theme and created several meaningful pieces of artwork that explore their artistic process.

Guelph CVI Art teacher Barb Muscat said, “It’s exciting to see all their amazing hard work start to come together.”

Friends, family and community members are invited to attend the exhibition June 1 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 10 Carden. The location of the venue is 42 Carden Street, Guelph, ON.
