Guelph teacher recognized for work in student mental health

A teacher from Guelph’s Victory Public School is being recognized for the work she does to inspire students and support student mental health.

Monique Cadieux uses First Nations traditions to teach students to solve problems, resolve conflicts and change their mental ‘scripts’ from negative to positive.

Her work has earned her an Honourable Mention in the Toronto Star’s Teacher of the Year Award.
