Happy birthday Mrs. Dandy! J.D. Hogarth celebrates volunteer’s birthday
October 7, 2016
The staff and students at J.D. Hogarth Public School in Fergus took some time Friday to celebrate the birthday of one of their most beloved volunteers.
Elsie Dandy turned 99 on Friday. Around the school, she is a constant inspiration to all.
Mrs. Dandy has been volunteering at J.D. Hogarth for nearly 15 years, helping students with their reading skills and lending a hand in classrooms.
She is a veteran of the Second World War, where she served as a nurse for the Canadian Army, stationed outside of London, England.
