Information on report cards and returning items to schools

June 10, 2020

Please read below for information regarding students receiving their final report cards and the process for returning items to schools at the end of the school year.

REPORT CARDS – ELEMENTARY

Between June 22 and 24, elementary schools will have a process for report card distribution, which may include mailing out that week through Canada Post or pick up for some grades. Parents/guardians will be notified directly if there is a pick up option for their child’s grade. Schools may communicate further details about their process for report cards with their families directly. If families have questions, they should contact their school office and leave a message.

REPORT CARDS – SECONDARY

All secondary school report cards will be mailed to students on July 8, 2020. If students or parents/guardians have any questions, they should call the main office of their home school and leave a message, or send an email to one of the school administrators.

RETURNING ITEMS TO SCHOOLS – ELEMENTARY

Elementary schools will be accepting item returns starting the last week of June – each school will communicate its process and specific dates with its families directly. Items to be returned include books and instruments. Schools will also have a date for those returning technology in the first week of July and will communicate that date with their school community.

Students are welcome to keep their current Chromebooks or technology over the summer in order to access online summer learning opportunities. If students have issues with their devices over the summer and are enrolled in UGDSB summer learning, they can contact their summer classroom teacher for assistance. All other issues with devices over the summer will be addressed in the fall.

If families have questions about returning items, they should contact their school office and leave a message.

RETURNING ITEMS TO SCHOOLS – SECONDARY

Secondary students will be asked to return items the week of June 22 to 26. Students/parents should visit their school website for more information.

Items that are the property of the school are to be returned. This could include textbooks, instruments, sports jerseys, art supplies and library resources.
