James McQueen PS students and staff dress up as their favourite book character

FERGUS, Ontario – On April 20, students and staff at James McQueen Public School celebrated literacy and their love of reading by dressing up as their favourite storybook characters.

Reading and writing celebrations were held throughout the day and students and staff were all happy to show off their costumes.

Costumes included Thing 1 and Thing 2 from The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. Many students and staff were dressed as their favourite characters from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling and of course, no storybook day would be complete without someone dressing as their favourite Robert Munsch character, The Paper Bag Princess.
