John F. Ross CVI students ready to debut spring play

March 7, 2024

GUELPH, ON – Students and staff at John F Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute have been working tirelessly since September and are now ready to present The Play That Goes Wrong.

The Play That Goes Wrong is a comedy play written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields. It follows the antics of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, who are attempting to stage a murder mystery titled, “The Murder at Haversham Manor.” However, everything that can go wrong does go wrong, leading to a cascade of hilarious mishaps.

According to Jennifer Hutchinson, Director of the play, “the students make it look easy as the play falls apart around them. Students have been involved with stage combat and safety training for various stunts throughout the past few months. Each student has taken informed risks and have grown tremendously in the process.”

Tickets for the play can be purchased at the door on the day of the show or they can be pre ordered through School Cash Online: https://ugdsb.schoolcashonline.com/Fee/Details/79425/64/False/True

Students will be performing at the EL Fox Auditorium at John F Ross CVI on:

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.

Congratulations to everyone involved with this play!
