John F. Ross CVI teacher wins Innovative Business Education Teacher Award

GUELPH, Ontario – Ed Hicken, Business Teacher at John F. Ross CVI, has been selected as the winner of the Innovative Business Education Teacher Award. This award is given to an outstanding business educator that creates inspiration in the classroom.

Members of the Ontario Business Educators’ Association (OBEA) can nominate other OBEA members for this award. Nominees can include any member of the OBEA who is in their first 15 years of teaching. Winners of this award demonstrate innovative teaching practices, inspire students to pursue a career in business and incorporate current technological tools into their lesson plans.

Winners of this award, including Hicken, maintain professional leadership by continually refining their skills, work with other teachers, infuse current trends into lesson plans, and share their knowledge with others outside of the classroom.

Hicken will be presented with the award at the OBEA Spring Conference on April 28 in Toronto. Congratulations on this prestigious award!
