John F. Ross CVI, Westside SS to host cutting-edge science exhibition

GUELPH, Ontario – An engaging and inspiring science exhibition is coming to John F. Ross CVI and Westside Secondary School.
This fall, the Guelph and Orangeville secondary schools will host the “Power of Ideas Tour.” This tour is put on by the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and is sponsored by the province of Ontario.
The tour will consist of seven interactive exhibits that will explore some of the biggest questions in science. The exhibits are open to students during the day and will also feature a public opening.
John F. Ross CVI will host the tour from Sept. 24-25, with a public opening from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 24. Westside will host the exhibition from Oct. 15-16, with a public opening from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 15.
The Power of Ideas Exhibition brings cutting-edge science programming to communities across Ontario. In this exhibition and presentation from Perimeter Institute, students take a fun, hands-on approach to engaging with the process of science. From delving into two of the world’s largest science experiments to exploring changing ideas about our universe, this immersive experience fosters curiosity and a better understanding of how we investigate our world.
