Can you see them? We count seven Ken Danby students in black suits.

Then, with the lights off, UV lights create a magical back-lit effect for their performance.

GUELPH, Ontario — On Dec. 14th and 15th Ken Danby Public School put on a wonderful black-light play titled “Dr. Seuss in Words and Song.”

Students have been hard at work practising for this exciting event since the beginning of October. There were a variety of different roles taken on by the students including artists, backstage crew, dancers, narrators, tech crew and performers. It was a huge production and we were able include 85 students ranging from Grade 3 to 8.

In addition, a large number of staff, student teachers and volunteers lent a hand and helped the show be a success. Both evening performances were well attended by parents and community members and the school received lots of positive feedback about the amazing black-light effects, as well as the remarkable props and wigs and hats!

We are so proud of our students for exhibiting such remarkable dedication and talent.
