Kindergarten students at John McCrae PS create beautiful art pieces

April 17, 2020

GUELPH, Ontario – Kindergarten students at John McCrae Public School were inspired by a book to create art projects earlier this year.

Together as a group and after reading the book Counting on Fall by Lizann Flatt, students made a poster with many animals on it. The goal of putting so many animals on the poster was so that other students in the school could try to count and find each animal.

As another art project, students created poppy art. Staff cut out paper flowers and students were invited to colour in the flowers using different craft materials. The painted flowers were created independently by the kindergarten students at the school. Students used markers and watercolour paints, so each flower was unique.
