Public Release re: Trustee Caucus Meeting, February 28, 2012

In a closed session of the Upper Grand District School Board, held on January 24, 2012, the Board approved the holding of a caucus meeting to receive a legal opinion about the actions of one of its members, concerning her alleged actions involving funding support from the Erin Town Council.

On February 27th, the Board received a report from Director Rogers containing a legal opinion.

The Board met in caucus on February 28th to discuss the report. By a unanimous vote, the Board wishes to publicly announce that the legal opinion received stated that Trustee Cooper, in her actions involving a parent group in Erin and the Erin Town Council, in no way contravened our Code of Conduct, her Oath of Office or any provincial statute and regulation.
