Salem PS raises money for Free to Achieve

November 10, 2016

ELORA, Ontario – On November 9, Salem Public School held a salad bar fundraiser. Funding to support the salad bar came from the Food and Friends program.

The Children’s Foundation Food and Friends program supports breakfast, lunch and snack programs in Wellington, Dufferin and Guelph. Their mission is to support local children through various student nutrition programs.

Volunteers gathered at Salem PS to help prepare the salad bar and serve the nutritious lunch to students. All proceeds raised during the event were donated to the Free to Achieve Fund. The Free to Achieve Fund provides underprivileged students with unique learning experiences outside of the classroom setting. These experiences allow students to make connections and learn in a way that helps them reach their potential.

Students, staff and volunteers at Salem PS were pleased to announce that they raised $161.95 during their salad bar fundraiser.
