Sir Isaac Brock PS student chosen to be a Page at Queen’s Park

March 23, 2018

GUELPH, Ontario – A grade 8 student at Sir Isaac Brock Public School in Guelph has been chosen to be a Page at the Ontario Legislative Assembly at Queen’s Park in Toronto.

Humza sent in his application and was chosen to be a Page working between March 19-29. His application to the program came in the form of an essay that outlined his achievements, involvements and suitability for the program. The essay submitted showcased his commitment to helping out at his school and in his community.

During his term of duty, Humza will serve as a messenger on the floor of the Legislative Chamber. He will have the opportunity to meet parliamentary figures and learn about Ontario’s parliamentary system.

As part of the program, Humza was required to study and learn the faces, names and locations of Ontario’s 107 Members of Provincial Parliament prior to arriving on his first day.

The Legislative Page Program allows students to come together from all over the province, create long lasting friendships and participate in a once in a life time educational program.

To learn more about the program, please visit the Legislative Assembly of Ontario website

Congratulations, Humza on being chosen for this unique opportunity.
