Sir Isaac Brock PS students provide soup for Hope House

January 9, 2019

GUELPH, Ontario – Earlier this fall, students at Sir Isaac Brock Public School participated in a “Recipes in a Jar” fundraiser.

As part of the fundraiser, for each jar sold by students, the fundraising company would donate soup mix to the charity of the school’s choice. Students and staff at Sir Isaac Brock PS decided to donate their fundraised soup mix to Hope House in Guelph. Hope House provides compassionate assistance to members of the Guelph community in need.

On January 9, the top grade 8 fundraisers, as well as some Sir Isaac Brock PS staff members, dropped the soup donation off at Hope House.

During their visit to Hope House, students and staff were given the opportunity to tour the facility and learn about the programs that Hope House offers and supports. This experience allowed students to realize how greatly appreciated their donation was and allowed them to see how the contribution would be used.
