Student athletes bring home medals from 2022 OSFAA Championships

Student athletes from across the Upper Grand District School Board excelled at the 2022 OFSAA Championships.

Tournaments and festivals were held in locations across Ontario in late May and early June. It was the first time OFSAA Spring Championships were able to be held since 2019.

UGDSB 2022 OFSAA Medallists

Centre Dufferin District High School captured OFSAA Bronze in Girls Rugby. The team was applauded off the pitch for their sportsmanship and positive representation of their school and Board.

Guelph CVI students won OFSAA Gold in the 4×400 relay. The open boys team consisted of Finn S., Jackson H., Zack F., Michael S. and Dion C. Jackson H. also won an OFSAA silver medal in steeplechase, breaking a school record.

The John F. Ross CVI Senior Boys 4×100 relay team made up of Sam U., Moses H., Nathan G. and Devonte S. captured the Gold Medal in a school record time of 43.21. Sam U. also captured the Silver Medal in pole vault with a jump of 3.70m.

Grade 11 student Victoria H. from Wellington Heights Secondary School won the OFSAA Silver in Girls Singles Open Tennis. This is the first-ever OFSAA medal for WHSS!
