Taylor Evans PS students lend helping hand through school snack program
April 3, 2017
GUELPH, Ontario – Students at Taylor Evans Public School are working together to fill up hungry bellies.
At the JK-8 school in Guelph, everyone contributes when they can. Just one of those ways of helping is by preparing emergency lunches for those in need.
The students in Mrs. Vos’s Life Skills class run the school’s snack program. On a regular basis, students ensure that there are sandwiches, snacks and milk available in the office for anyone who needs them.
Through this work, the students are learning great life skills and fostering a sense of community and civic responsibility.
