UGDSB holding student logo contest for Education Week 2016

GUELPH, Ontario – The Upper Grand District School Board is holding a district-wide contest, inviting students to design a logo for this year’s Education Week.

Education Week 2016 takes place from May 2 to 6. The annual event is a time for students, staff and members of the community to celebrate student achievement and teaching excellence. The Upper Grand DSB extends Education Week into a month of celebrations, featuring events and activities that showcase the excellence of our schools.

Students are invited to design and submit original artwork for the board’s Education Week logo contest, designing a logo that embodies the board’s vision of “Learn, Lead, Inspire…together” – which is also the theme of this year’s Education Week.

The winning submission will be the official logo of Education Week 2016 in the Upper Grand and will be featured prominently on print and online materials for the event. The winner will also be invited to the official opening of Education Week on May 2 where they will be presented with a framed copy of their artwork.

The deadline for contest submissions is Friday March 4, 2016. For contest rules and submission guidelines, please visit the board website.
