UGDSB students excel at OFSAA Wrestling championships

GUELPH, ON – Several Upper Grand District School Board students competed at the OFSAA Wrestling championships in Ottawa between March 6 to 8, 2023.
Teams from Centennial CVI, Centre Dufferin DHS, Centre Wellington DHS, Guelph CVI and John F. Ross CVI faced off with competitors from all over Ontario, whether UGDSB students won or lost, they still competed with class and grace during the competition.
- Benny R from CCVI placed 5th in the 44 M weight class
- Abby A from CCVI placed 5th in the 44 F weight class
- Kaleigh B from John F Ross CVI placed 5th in the 61 F weight class
- Clare F from GCVI placed 4th in the 47.5 F weight class
- Carmen R from GCVI placed 4th in the 54 F weight class
- Logan C from GCVI took home bronze in the 72 M weight class
- Casey H from John F Ross CVI took home silver in the 64 M weight class
- Kai W from CWDHS took home silver in the 130 M weight class
- Ava H from John F Ross CVI took home gold in the 51 F weight class
