Ten years ago, John F. Ross CVI staff organized the first Special Education prom for students in the Upper Grand DSB. Each year, students and staff gather at the prom to eat dinner and dance with friends.

Students of all ages are invited to attend the prom and everyone is welcome. Many of the students at the prom know each other outside of their school due to activities like the Special Olympics, Friday Friends and other social programs.

This year’s prom took place at the Italian Canadian Club in Guelph on the evening of June 14 and the theme for the night was a starry night. Students were very excited to spend the evening with their friends.
