Westside SS to host over 200 band students from UGDSB schools

ORANGEVILLE, Ontario – Band students from six Upper Grand District School Board schools will come together this week for the 2nd annual UGDSB Band Meet-Up.

On April 26, 224 students in grades 9 to 12, along with their band directors, will be collaborating at Westside Secondary School for a day of music.

Participating schools and band directors include:

The morning will include a workshop for each section and a large group rehearsal. In the afternoon, each school will perform, ending with a performance of all 224 students playing at the same time.

The afternoon concert is from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Westside SS, 300 Alder Street in Orangeville. Media are welcome to attend.
