Centre Wellington DHS teacher to attend Education and Skills Forum in Dubai

GUELPH, Ontario – Glenn Wagner, a science teacher at Centre Wellington DHS will be attending the Education and Skills Forum this month.

The theme of the 2017 forum is “Creating Real Global Citizens.” The forum will bring together leaders from the public, private and social sectors to find solutions to achieving education, equity and employment for all.

Wagner is currently completing his second year of secondment to the Perimeter Institute. He was a top 50 finalist for the Global Teacher Prize in 2015. The Varkey Foundation has invited all top 50 finalists to attend this year’s Education and Skills Forum. The forum will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on March 18-19.

The Global Teacher Prize honours exceptional educators for their model leadership and ground-breaking work toward social justice.
