Elora PS teacher awarded 2016 Anti-Bias Award

GUELPH, Ontario – A teacher at Elora Public School is being recognized for her work exploring human rights issues.

The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) presented French teacher Laurel Farrell with the 2016 Anti-Bias Award. The award is given to an ETFO member who develops and teaches units that work toward the elimination of bias

“Laurel has created a unique blend of the arts, research, discussion and performance to elevate her Core French students to new levels of understanding about human rights issues,” said ETFO president Sam Hammond.
