Brant Avenue PS students learn about building using sustainable materials through Scientists in School

Students in Grade 2 at Brant Avenue Public School recently had the opportunity to participate in a Scientists in School workshop thanks to the generous funding of local company Skyline Group.

Scientists in School is a Canadian science, technology, engineering, and math education charitable organization that provides hands-on workshops from Kindergarten to Grade 8 across the county.

With the help of a Skyline volunteer, the Brant Avenue PS students learned about building simple machines using sustainable materials from Scientist Barb.

The students were very engaged and learned a lot in the virtual visit. The school is looking forward to another sponsored visit in the spring.
