Celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day

June 21, 2022

The Upper Grand District School Board continues to celebrate National Indigenous History Month throughout the Month of June. June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day.

In addition to the work schools are doing to learn about the true history of this land, we encourage everyone to also tell good stories to celebrate National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Schools were provided with resources featuring a number of good stories to tell. And for information on 21+ important Indigenous people from all walks of life, you can visit: https://www.ictinc.ca/blog/national-aboriginal-day-21-important-indigenous-people-to-celebrate.

You can also get daily resources throughout Indigenous History Month on Twitter by following the hashtag #30DaysIHM on Twitter.
