Erin DHS welcomes student from France

October 31, 2017

ERIN, Ontario – Erin District High School welcomed an exchange student from France for the first month of school. Soline arrived in Canada at the start of August and stayed with the family of fellow Erin DHS student and exchange partner, Margarita.

Soline’s exchange to Canada was not her first time participating in a student exchange, it was however her first time to Canada. While in Canada, Soline and her host family went camping, visited Toronto, went to Canada’s Wonderland and took a trip to Montreal. Soline also had the opportunity to experience her first Canadian Thanksgiving.

While attending school at Erin DHS, Soline took advantage of some of the classes that are not available to her at her school in France like fashion, and travel and tourism.

When talking about her experience at the school, Soline said, “These two months in Canada were very interesting for me; I have discovered a really different culture and met amazing new people. I have really enjoyed this time!”

As part of the non-profit exchange program ISE, Margarita will have the opportunity to travel to France on exchange in February.
