King George PS students write postcards to Norfolk Manor

May 12, 2020

GUELPH, Ontario – Intermediate students at King George Public School wanted to do something for the staff and residents at Norfolk Manor Retirement Residence in Guelph during the COVID-19 pandemic, so they organized sending e-messages and painted rocks from students and staff.

The e-messages, e-post cards and the painted rocks are to show Norfolk Manor residents and staff that King George PS students are showing their support during Norfolk Manor’s time of need.

Students were asked to share their postcards with staff and arrange for pick up of any painted rocks. Once everything was completed, a staff member safely dropped the messages and disinfected rocks off at Norfolk Manor.

Messages included words of encouragement to residents who are unable to see family members and messages of thanks to Norfolk Manor staff.

Great job King George PS!
