Arora spoke to parents about the journey her family recently took when immigrating to Canada and how they have come to feel a part of the school and community.

Local community groups had information booths set up at the event. The booths highlighted some of the clubs and extra programs that are available to students. Community representatives included Officer Kyle of the Guelph Police Service, family counselling, Health at School, West Willow Village and information about the programs available at College Heights SS.

Students at the school were on hand to lead parents through a guided tour of the school. Parents enjoyed this as it gave them a better sense of how the school is laid out and where the students participate in various activities throughout the day.

The school saw the event as a success and received much positive feedback from parents in the community.
