National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls
October 4, 2021
October 4 is the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Final Report shows “persistent and deliberate human and Indigenous rights violations and abuses are the root cause behind Canada’s staggering rates of violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA people.”
You can read the Final Report, which is comprised of the truths of 2,380+ family members, survivors of violence, experts and Knowledge Keepers, here: https://www.mmiwg-ffada.ca/final-report/
We also encourage everyone to review the Inquiry’s Calls for Justice and for educators to review the Educator Guide, “Their Voices Will Guide Us.”
