NDSS debuts student Art Show

HARRISTON, ON – On June 4, 2024, Norwell District Secondary School opened their Student Art Show at the Minto Arts Council Gallery in Harriston, Ontario.

This show features works created by students at Norwell DSS in grades 9 through 12. Grade 12 students from the school produced, curated and installed the exhibition with teacher advisors Mariah Angel, Karen Huband and Sally Smith, and staff from the Minto Arts Council.

The exhibit features drawings, paintings, sculptures and mixed media artworks that explore a wide range of themes including feminism, environmentalism, self-expression and postmodernism.

Opening night included artist talks, community engagement and the celebration of graduating NDSS students.

This exhibit will be open to the public at the Minto Arts Council Gallery (3rd floor of the Harriston Public Library) until June 15, 2024.
