Students invited to submit their ideas for a new UGDSB slogan

Message to parents/guardians,

In addition to the school board updating its Multi-Year Plan and logo, we are also refreshing our slogan. The previous UGDSB slogan was “Learn, Lead, Inspire…Together.” 

Please note that on Wednesday May 31 and Thursday June 1, the UGDSB is hosting a voluntary online exercise to gather ideas from students for a new slogan for the UGDSB. 

On these two days, between 9:30am to 3:30pm classes in grades 4-12 may choose to take a few minutes to participate. Please note that teachers may choose not to participate. 

We will be using an online tool called ThoughtExchange, which will allow students to submit their ideas for a new slogan and rank other slogan ideas. Please know that ThoughtExchange is completely anonymous; no personal information will be tracked or collected. We want to create a safe space for students to share their ideas. 

We know this is a busy time of year, so this exercise is voluntary for classes. But we would love to get ideas from UGDSB students. 

If you would not like your child to participate, please contact their teacher.
