#UGRun4Hope – UGDSB schools hold annual Terry Fox Run

GUELPH, Ontario – This fall, Upper Grand joined with the millions of students across the country raising money for cancer research.

Schools across the UGDSB participated in a Terry Fox run or walk this past week.

On April 12, 1980, Terry Fox set out on his cross Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Fox’s Marathon of Hope touched the lives of so many people and since then, every year over 25 countries participate in Terry Fox Runs and fundraising events.

Many Upper Grand DSB schools were hard at work the last couple of weeks fundraising and participating in their Run for Hope.
