Policy 200 Community Use of Schools

Public Consultation and Policy Feedback

Public consultation on this policy is now closed.

It is the policy of the Upper Grand District School Board to make its facilities available for community use in a manner that is both fair and equitable.

This policy has been expanded to include use of the E.L. Fox Auditorium as requests to use the auditorium are received through the Community Use of Schools (CUS) Program permit application process.

The policy has been updated with the addition of sections moved from procedures that clarify the parameters for the community use of UGDSB facilities. The key elements of the policy have not materially changed from the current policy and procedures.

Policy 200 is important to staff, community users of UGDSB facilities, school councils, and the community as it supports the objectives of the board and works to protect the board’s property, staff, and role in the community.
