Policy 210 Environmental Education and Management
Public Consultation and Policy Feedback
Public consultation on this draft policy is now open. Feedback will be received until March 1, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. EST.
The policy and procedures for 210 – Environmental Education and Management have been revised as per the regular review cycle for Board policies. This policy required few changes because it was based on the Ministry’s environmental policy framework, “Acting Today, Shaping Tomorrow”, which is still current. One of the primary changes to the policy was to include reference to the Board’s Environmental Sustainability Action Plan, which is reviewed and revised annually by the Environmental Education and Management Committee.
This policy is important as it is vital that staff and students are provided with the skills, perspectives and practices they will need to become environmentally responsible citizens in order to meet the sustainability challenges of the future.
