Opportunities for French Qualified Educators

As a French language teacher at UGDSB, you will be instrumental in inspiring students and promoting a love for the French language. How to Apply

Superintendent, Principal and Teaching opportunities, including Occasional Teacher Rosters, Emergency Teacher Lists, Long-Term Occasional (LTOs), and Permanent Contracts, can be reviewed in the career opportunities listed below or on Apply to Education.

Applicants must create an ATE profile on Apply to Education. Applying to postings through Apply to Education is free for all applicants. Once registered, you can apply for specific positions that would be of interest to you. Additionally, you can set up the Job Alert feature on Apply to Education to receive notifications whenever UGDSB posts new opportunities.

Teaching Requirements

Successful applicants must have their Ontario College of Teachers’ Certificate of Qualification (OCT Number) and be in “Good Standing” with the Ontario College of Teachers. (www.oct.ca)

  • If you are a new or a soon-to-be graduate who is awaiting your certificate, please consider applying to our Emergency Teacher Lists and Occasional Teacher Rosters, as you will be considered for an interview. If successful for the Emergency Teacher List, you will be added as an uncertified teacher. If successful for the Occasional Teacher Roster, you may be added pending availability on the OT Roster and your OCT Certificate.

Once registered, please upload the following documents to your Apply to Education profile:

  • Cover Letter (addressed to People Leadership & Culture, Recruitment)

  • Resume (not to exceed 4 pages)

  • Copy of your Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers

  • Three supervisory/professional references
