Policy Statement
It is the policy of the Upper Grand District School Board to encourage and welcome the involvement of community and parent volunteers. Volunteers enhance learning opportunities for students as well as contribute to a positive school climate.
Volunteers share responsibility for maintaining safe and inclusive learning and working environments that prioritize human rights, equity, and respect for the dignity and rights of all students, employees, and community members. For the protection of students, all individuals must be appropriately screened prior to starting a volunteer role.
