Engaging with the UGDSB

The Upper Grand District School Board serves more than 35,000 students through 66 elementary schools and 11 secondary schools in the City of Guelph, County of Wellington and County of Dufferin.

With so many great things happening across the district, here are some ways parents, students and community members can engage with the UGDSB!

Volunteer at a School

The UGDSB encourages and welcomes the involvement of community and parent volunteers. Volunteers enhance learning opportunities for students as well as contribute to a positive school climate. Learn more about School Volunteers here.

Join your School Council

Becoming involved in the life of your school can be rewarding for you, your child and the entire school. Have you ever wondered how you can get involved? You can be a partner in your child’s education through the board-wide Parent Involvement Committee or your School Council.

Provide Input on Board Policy

The board welcomes your input and suggestions for improving new or revised policies and procedures, prior to final approval by the Board of Trustees.  When policies are open for public consultation, a link to the policy page with draft documents and an online feedback survey will be posted here.

Book Space at Our Schools

The UGDSB makes its facilities available for community use in a manner that is both fair and equitable through the Community Use of Schools (CUS) program. CUS works in partnership with the board’s staff and its diverse communities to foster an ongoing relationship of interaction and intercommunity.
