Supports for Students

Resources for students needing additional school-based or community supports

School-Based Supports for Students

Students requiring support can connect with their school Child and Youth Counsellor (CYC). In elementary schools the CYC has a set schedule of days they are in the school. In secondary schools, the CYC also has set days and can be available.

For students requiring more intensive mental health support, the school social worker is available. Referrals to Social Work can be made by the administration for students under 12. Students 12 and over can self refer.
