Students and families invited to ‘Your Future, Your Choice’ resource fair

Guelph, ON – Wednesday, November 15 the Career Education Council (CEC) is hosting the ‘Your Future, Your Choice’ – a one stop education, career, community and resource fair for students and families.
The event will run from 6 to 8 pm at Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute. The event will host exhibitors from different colleges, universities, and local organizations and businesses from different career fields/sectors. The event will also provide different resources and volunteer opportunities as well for those who are looking to fill community service hours or gain work experience but may not be of legal working age.
CEC’s Executive Director, Kelly Schafer, describes the event as important, “It allows students and their parents/guardians to gather information that can help them in making important decisions for next steps in education and career planning.”
“As an organization, we are particularly motivated to continue offering this event because we know how important it is for youth to understand their options and how they tie back to our local workforce and economy when making decisions about what courses to take in school or what pathways they might want to pursue following high school,” Schafer continued.
