Students to explore new pathways at GCVI’s Tech & Trades Fair

For Immediate Release
February 6, 2018

GUELPH, Ontario – This March, students in Guelph will learn about careers they didn’t know were possible, at Guelph CVI’s Tech & Trades Fair.

The second annual event, presented by GCVI’s Pathways Committee, will connect 1,500 students with local employers, colleges and universities, opening their eyes to a wide variety of pathways available in tech and the trades.

The fair will motivate students to consider different careers within technology and the trades, with a focus on lesser-known trades and trades for which there is high local demand.

Employers will have the opportunity to let students know about employment and/or apprenticeship opportunities, and representatives from local colleges and universities will provide information on post-secondary pathways.
