The “UGDSB Counts Student Census” launches today for all Upper Grand District School Board students in grades Kindergarten-12. Participation in the Student Census will help the UGDSB make systemic changes that will create more equitable outcomes for all students.

Deadline to submit nominations for School Board Trustee election is August 19
Municipal elections will be held on October 24, 2022. The UGDSB is looking for school board trustees who can ‘re-engage, re-fresh, and re-imagine’ the best education system for the students in our community. Those who are elected will serve on the Board of Trustees for the next four years.

The June meeting of the Upper Grand District School Board was held on June 28, 2022. The following provides highlights from the meeting.
UGDSB approves the 2022-23 school year budget
The Upper Grand District School Board has passed the 2022-2023 school year budget. The budget is balanced and compliant with Ministry requirements. Trustees approved an Operating Budget of $432,285,649. The 2022-23 Capital Budget was approved at $52,485,533.

UGDSB to launch Student Census this fall
This fall, the Upper Grand District School Board is launching the “UGDSB Counts Student Census.” The census is a confidential, voluntary survey for all students in the UGDSB. The goal of the census is to better understand the cultural, social and demographic diversity of our students.
