February 2024 Policy Updates

At the February 27, 2024 Board meeting, the following updated policies were approved and are now available on the board website:

• Policy 200 – Community Use of Schools and Facilities (new name)
• Policy 216 – Communications (new)
• Policy 322 – Safe Operation of Schools and Board Sites (new)
• Policy 520 – Continuity of Learning (new)
• Policy 709 – School Generated Funds (new policy category/number)

The following policies were rescinded:

• Policy 104 – Access to Schools and Board Premises (now under Policy 322 – Safe Operation of Schools and Board Sites)
• Policy 202 – Community Use of E.L. Fox Auditorium (now under Policy 200 – Community Use of Schools and Facilities)
• Policy 209 – Distribution of Materials in Schools from External Organizations (now under Policy 216 – Communications)
• Policy 312 – Website and Social Media Management (now under Policy 216 – Communications)

The following protocol was removed:

• P.01 – Crisis Communications (now under Policy 216 – Communications)
