Goals

  • Co-develop Indigenous well-being initiatives and implementation processes with Indigenous Education.

  • Strengthen culturally responsive and identity-affirming mental health practices.

  • Clearly identify and strengthen supports for students who may be at greater risk of experiencing identity-based harm, discrimination, exclusion, or barriers to well-being.

  • Strengthen collaboration among Mental Health, Indigenous Education, Student Services, and Human Rights and Equity teams.

Key Outcomes

  • Students experience supports that reflect their identities and lived experiences.

  • Indigenous voices meaningfully inform planning and implementation.

  • Increased staff confidence in culturally responsive practice.

  • Improved belonging and well-being outcomes for equity-deserving students.

Monitoring and Accountability

Progress will be reviewed through:

  • Student, family, staff, and community partner feedback

  • School data

  • Mental health service and referral data

  • Equity-focused monitoring of access and outcomes

  • Indigenous student engagement and well-being indicators

Updates will inform ongoing implementation and continuous improvement.
