What We Heard
Stakeholders called for stronger Indigenous partnership, culturally responsive supports, Indigenous co-development, and greater alignment between equity and mental health initiatives.
Goals
Co-develop Indigenous well-being initiatives and implementation processes with Indigenous Education.
Strengthen culturally responsive and identity-affirming mental health practices.
Clearly identify and strengthen supports for students who may be at greater risk of experiencing identity-based harm, discrimination, exclusion, or barriers to well-being.
Strengthen collaboration among Mental Health, Indigenous Education, Student Services, and Human Rights and Equity teams.

Students experience supports that reflect their identities and lived experiences.
Indigenous voices meaningfully inform planning and implementation.
Increased staff confidence in culturally responsive practice.
Improved belonging and well-being outcomes for equity-deserving students.
