GUELPH, ON – The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) is pleased to announce that we have received funding from the Ministry of Education to build a new elementary school in Mulmur Township.
The UGDSB has received a Capital Priorities Grant from the Ministry for $16,447,650, to build a 328-pupil place elementary school.
The board has purchased the site for the new school, which will be located on Dufferin County Road 18, near Mansfield, Ontario.
This new elementary school will help accommodate growth we have experienced in Dufferin County over the last several years.
We wish to thank the Government of Ontario for their support as we continue to grow and meet the needs of Upper Grand families.
“Thank you to the Ministry of Education for funding this school. I would also like to recognize the work of UGDSB staff and my fellow trustees, advocating for this investment to meet the needs of our Dufferin County families. We look forward to working with our municipal partners as the project unfolds," said Ralf Mesenbrink, Chair of the Upper Grand District School Board.
“We are very grateful for Minister Calandra’s approval of this project and we look forward to welcoming students and families to a new school in Dufferin County,” said Peter Sovran, Director of Education, Upper Grand District School Board.
