Grade 11 and 12 students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP), and their families, are invited to attend a special online information night to learn about accessibility services in post-secondary education. This session, hosted by Student Accessibility Services at the University of Guelph, will help students and families understand what supports are available and how to prepare for a successful transition after high school.
Event details:
Date: February 19
Time: 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Location: Online (Google Meet)
During the session, participants will learn how accessibility services in college and university differ from high school supports, what services are available at the University of Guelph, and how students can prepare for the transition to post-secondary learning. This information can help students build confidence, understand their options, and feel ready for their next step.
This event is especially helpful for students with diagnosed disabilities who currently have an IEP, as well as their parents and guardians. Families are also encouraged to submit questions in advance to help ensure the session addresses their specific needs.
Supporting students as they plan for life after high school is an important part of helping them find their path. This session offers valuable information to help students and families feel informed, prepared, and supported.
