Many elementary and secondary students from across the Upper Grand District School Board are getting ready to head to the Toronto Congress Centre on May 4-5, 2026, for the Skills Ontario competition.

The Skills Ontario competition features over 2,000 competitors from across Ontario elementary, secondary and post-secondary institutions. The event promotes careers in many fields including electrical, culinary, manufacturing, hair styling, and more.

Competing at the elementary level:

Earning a place at this competition is a huge achievement for students and reflects their dedication, growth, and commitment to excellence in their respective fields.
