In what has been described as a life-changing experience for students, Project SEARCH is set to welcome two new cohorts of students to the program.

Project SEARCH is a comprehensive training program for students with disabilities who are entering their final year of high school. The program provides participants with employment skills instruction from a dedicated team of educators, along with hands-on work experience geared to in-demand roles in the local labour market.

The Upper Grand District School Board is currently involved in two Project SEARCH projects in the City of Guelph. 

The Project SEARCH University of Guelph team is comprised of the Wellington Catholic District School Board, Upper Grand District School Board, University of Guelph, and March of Dimes Canada. The YMCA team is comprised of the UGDSB, YMCA of Three Rivers Guelph and March of Dimes Canada.

Signing Day marks the official start of this transformative experience, with the students' first internship placements beginning in late September.
