Earlier this year Marcia Piquette, a teacher at William C. Winegard Public School, applied to the Climate Action School program through Take Action Global, and was accepted as one of 100 schools across the globe to participate in the program this school year.

The Climate Action Schools program is a paid, year-long project that allows schools to collaborate at local and global levels on environmental topics. Over the course of the year, classrooms have the opportunity to explore the causes and effects of climate change, develop solutions, and take action as a school community.

Students who have access to this program through their school can attend virtual events with students from across the world, act as climate activists, engage in tree learning and planting opportunities, and so much more.

Congratulations, we look forward to seeing your environmental projects this year!
